Time to crank up the analysis machine to see what clues can be found in this summer post card from Nippon Ichi Software.*The following content is all mere speculation and theories about what this game would be.*Until the Tokyo Game Show in September this year, we will not know for sure if this is going to be a Disgaea game. -There is a high chance that this would be a Disgaea game. Disgaea games usually come out every two to three years.-The main protagonist is a male. If you look at both sleeves of his jacket, they share a similar clothing texture and layout. They do however make it look like the main protagonist is a female. In my opinion, I still think the main protagonist is a male.-It looks like the big guy behind the main protagonist is based on the Sinner class. The Sinner class could be returning in Disgaea 5, since its last appearance in Disgaea 2. Referring to the Disgaea 4 summer greeting card, it is likely that the red-haired guy could be a close friend or rival of the main protagonist. Just like how Fenrich was sitting close to Valvatorez in the Disgaea 4 summer card.-It looks like there would be six main characters in Disgaea 5. The postcard also gives a hint of which characters would be part of the main protagonist’s party. Referring back to the Disgaea 4 summer card, Valvatorez and Fenrich were the first playable characters in the first chapter, followed by Fuka and then Emizel. The further the characters are from the main character, the later in the game they would be encountered. It is likely that the big red-haired guy would be playable along with the main protagonist in the first chapter, since he is standing the closest to him, followed by the pink-haired girl next.
-The Ninja class is returning to Disgaea 5, since we see one based on the Ninja class on the left side of the main protagonist.-The green-haired demon with horns having a resemblance to Stella Grossular. Until we have further information, we won’t know what class the green-haired demon would be based on.-The pink-haired girl looks like she is based on the Healer class, given that the similarities they have in designs. When she joins your party, she would more likely be equipped with healing and support skills.-It looks like this game would be released some time around 2016. If you look at the Disgaea D2 summer greeting card, it was released one year before the game came out in 2013. There is a high chance that this game would be released for the PS4.These are all of the hints, theories and speculation I can gather from this summer greeting card. If I miss anything, please let me know by reblogging this post.
